Internet Traps:

Things to Consider when Using the Internet...

E-mail:

E-mail is not a private form of communication.
Whenever using e-mail, do not write anything private.
Assume e-mail will be read by anybody and everybody.
Think before sending e-mail. Once sent, e-mail can not be retrieved.

The Internet as a Source of Information:

There are excellent reliable resources with great information on the Internet. Unfortunately, information can also be intentionally and unintentionally inaccurate. Typos, poor research, and carelessness result in unintentional misinformation. Sometimes, information is twisted due to the author's opinion also resulting in deliberate or accidental "false facts". There are times that a Web author deliberately puts misinformation on the Internet. (See: Looking for Reliable Information on the Internet.)
