Top Ten Ways to Find a Good Book!

        10.  Sometimes you can judge a book by its cover or title.
         9.  The description/blurb makes you want to read more.
         8.  Great beginnings…read the first sentence, paragraph, or page.
         7.  I love a mystery, scary book,
              romance, adventure, sports story, etc.
         6.  There are more just like it! Look for books in a series.
         5.  Great author!
         4.  Do the Five Finger Test.
               Pick a page in the middle of the book and read.
               If you do not know a word, put a finger down.
               If you end up with five fingers down,
                 choose another book.
         3.  Any good books?
                  Ask your teacher or library media specialist for a “winner”.
         2.  Saw the movie? Now read the book!
